Reception Class Charity

This year Receptions class charity is Salford Loaves and Fishes.

Who are Salford Loaves and Fishes?

Salford Loaves and Fishes are a local charity who use their experience and expertise to work with and support homeless and vulnerable people.  They are based in Salford and have dedicated project staff to offer advice and support to anyone in need. They offer a range of services from food services to support with debt and addiction problems.

What do Salford Loaves and Fishes Believe?

Their Christian ethos ensures an unconditionally positive, accepting and non-judgmental approach and strives to support clients in reaching their full potential. Their centre is open to people of all faiths or none and strives to be inclusive. They aim to meet the needs of all of their guests whatever they may be. They do not judge the people they serve but try to meet them where they are on their life journey and help them to move on to a better situation if that is what they want.

What do Salford Loaves and Fishes do?

They have dedicated project staff to offer advice and support to anyone who needs it. They exist mainly for those who are homeless and vulnerable but welcome anyone who needs their support and advice. They work to empower people to help develop their skills to act with confidence on their own behalf. They offer support services to those who need them such as people struggling with debt or addiction.  They try to offer hope to those who feel hopeless.

Visiting Loaves and Fishes.

Throughout Lent the children have been bringing in donations for our class charity. The children donnated; food, toiletries, clothes and Easter eggs. The children had the opportunity to visit Loaves and Fishes and deliver the donnations.
