Multifaith

If you would like to do this or would like further information please could you get in touch with Mrs Rothwell via the school office.

Year 5 Parish Mass

Year 5 attended Mass as St James, we listened to Father Ian and took note of his reading about how a strong house only lasts if it is built of strong materials, such as our love for God and Jesus is a strong foundation

Year 3 Parish Mass

On Thursday 21st November Year 3 went to Parish Mass at church to help celebrate the holy day of obligation the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The children were well behaved and enjoyed praying with members of our parish. It was also lovely to have some parents worshiping with us as well.

Light Fever

On Thursday 12th December 2024 our annual Light fever event occurred. Our parents with their children light a candle and place it at the altar as a symbol of ‘waiting’ during the Lenten period. This is a silent procession of reflective silence led by Fr Ian.

On the 29th November we wanted to mark the end of the year of prayer with a celebration.  We decided that the best way to do this was through prayer stations. Each class in KS2 produced a prayer station. All classes in KS2 worshiped at each prayer station.

Parents were invited to worship with their child's class.

Year 4 Parish Mass

On Thursday 7th November Year 4 went to Parish Mass. They worshiped with the members of the Parish and their good behaviour was mentioned several times. Well done year 4!

Year 6 Mass

The children in Class Six joined parishioners at St James' Church to celebrate in Holy Mass. On Thursday it was the Feast Day of Ignatius of Antioch. Ignatius was a convert to Christianity, became bishop of Antioch, and was a staunch defender of the faith. He was known for his seven letters defending the Church and arguing strongly against people who did not believe in the teachings of Jesus. The children represented school well, which was commented on by several of the congregation. Thank-you Father Ian for inviting us to join you

All Saints Day Parish Mass

On Friday 1st November the children joined our parish for the celebration of Holy Mass in Honour Saints Day. Today we remember all of those followers of Jesus who have passed and have gone to be with Jesus in Heaven. We particularly remember our class Saints and also the Holy Family. We would like to thank Fr Ian for inviting us to celebrate in Mass with the children today.
